IMPACT 2
Workshop
IMPACT 2 was organized as a three-day workshop in Spring 2024, with invited guest expert Simon Jon Andreasen, former Director of Animation at the Danish Film School and now PhD candidate at the Norwegian Film School in Lillehammer. Andreasen has developed a unique method for interdisciplinary collaboration with ‘Storyworld Building’, which invited students from all fields of study at the Westerdals Department of Film and Media (WIFM) to work collaboratively and create exciting new worlds together.
The workshop brought together 130 students for a 48-hour Media Jam based on specific sessions of demonstration and lecture, and modules of independent group work. IMPACT 2 culminated with a final presentation and feedback session.
Student evaluations were very positive, and we are now in the process of gathering additional insights to guide the future direction of IMPACT 2 version 2 in Spring 2025.
The PRISMA research and development group is committed to continuously assessing its progress, identifying what is working effectively and areas that require improvement, to ensure the continued success and development of the PRISMA pedagogical model.
